Gain Clinical Experience & Make Care More Accessible
Moving from the classroom into clinical practice is an important step in becoming a Registered Psychotherapist.
At ACTion Psychology, student interns gain real-world experience providing psychotherapy while receiving the supervision and guidance needed to refine their skills as clinicians.
Our goal is to create an environment where student therapists can ask questions, strengthen their clinical judgment, explore different therapeutic approaches, and grow confidence in their work.
At the same time, our internship program helps make therapy more accessible to our clients by allowing us to offer reduced-rate sessions with student therapists.
What to Expect From Your Psychotherapy Practicum
Depending on the placement and program requirements, you may have opportunities to:
Provide individual psychotherapy to clients
Work with a range of mental health concerns
Apply evidence-based therapeutic approaches and skills in a clinical setting
Receive structured clinical supervision, feedback, and training
Develop case conceptualization and treatment planning skills
Strengthen clinical documentation and professional practice skills
Learn alongside experienced psychotherapists
Specific placement requirements and responsibilities will be discussed during the application process.
